I took this certification to understand engineering from a wider organizational perspective. Building a technically correct system is important, but professional engineering also depends on reliable processes, consistent quality, efficient use of resources, and continuous improvement.
I wanted an introductory framework for understanding how industrial organizations identify inefficiencies and improve the way work is performed.
